Shortkut is a founding member of 3 of the most iconic and influential DJ crews in history - Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkie Sound and Triple Threat DJs. He is a numerous West Coast/USA DMC title holder and is responsible for creating some of the most influential dj routines of all time, literally bringing new techniques to the genre.

2012 was one of the most active years of Shortkut's career including a national tour for the Beat Junkies 20th year anniversary, co-headlining the Heavy Boogie produced adidas Originals Breathe & Stop tour throughout Asia alongside Maseo (De La Soul) and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest) in August and a 2x4 set with the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff at the Do-Over in San Francisco.

In November, he also co-headlined the adidas Originals Laced Up tour throughout Asia with his Triple Threat crew members Dj Apollo & DJ Vinroc alongside DJ Tony Touch and Heavy Boogie, finishing off the year with a stellar NYE party in Moscow.

A diverse selection in music combined with his turntabilist roots makes Shortkut one of the worlds most sought after party rockers on the planet.

DJ heyLove*
DJ heyLove* grew up in the Bay Area surrounded by different cultures, ethnicities, and art. Influenced by all this diversity she developed a love for variety, which is reflected in her taste for music.

Attracted to different rhythms and how they make the mind, body, and soul feel, heyLove* is naturally drawn to artists from the past and present like Roy Ayers, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, J Dilla, Kanye West, AtJazz, Omar, & Esthero.

You'll hear jazz, R&B, downtempo, broken beat, house, reggae, afro beat and hip-hop in her collection. "There should be no genre lines in music", heyLove* explains her mixes reflect a "music head" who appreciates the finer melodies in life.

DJ heyLove* has created good vibes at places such as Yoshi's Jazz Club SF, Mua Restaurant and Lounge, Ozumo's, the People Oakland, and The Getty's Mansion. She specializes in spinning for events such as art gallery openings, fashion shows, wine tastings, and corporate/non-profit events.
heyLove* is one of the resident DJ's and creators of "the People", dedicated to redefining night life by providing a soulful and eclectic experience through the cultivation of music, art, dance, fashion, cuisine, and community. For the past 5 years "the People" party gathers over 800 people each month to enjoy the music of resident and world renowned dj's, incredible live performances, local artists/vendors, delicious food, and a good time.

The People has booked special guests such as Daz-I-Kue, LeftO, Rich Medina, DJ Spinna, Bobbito, Boddhi Satva, Mark deClive-Lowe and Amp Fiddler. Davey D is a nationally recognized journalist, adjunct professor, Hip Hop historian, syndicated talk show host, radio programmer, producer, deejay, media and community activist.

He is the founder and webmaster of Davey D’s Hip Hop Corner, which is widely considered to be one of the oldest and largest Hip Hop sites on the web, www.daveyd.com. The writings on his website are frequently referenced and quoted by journalists, scholars and professors and fans around the world.

Davey D is the co-founder and host of several of the most cited Hip Hop radio and online news journalism projects of all time, including Hard Knock Radio (HKR), an award-winning daily syndicated prime time afternoon show focusing on Hip Hop culture and politics. One of the first of its kind, the show originated in 1999 on KPFA 94.1 FM in the San Francisco Bay Area, and now can be heard in Seattle, Atlanta, Portland, Fresno and is streamed live on KPFA.org, reaching close to a million listeners daily.

Davey D has been a featured speaker at high schools, universities and community centers throughout the country. He speaks on topics ranging from Hip Hop to Politics to bridging the Digital Divide.

Davey D has been featured in close to 30 documentaries including, Letters to The President, Beef, Thug Angel and the Award Winning PBS Rap City Rhapsody. He is an internationally acclaimed Hip Hop scholar who has presented at top academic institutions and political, policy and music industry conventions worldwide. He is based in Oakland, CA.
