NON STOP BHANGRA
One of San Francisco's hottest world music parties is coming to Oakland to rock it with their East Bay family! After years of sold out nights and thousands of hands in the air, the crew behind the Non Stop Bhangra sound is heading East to bring a killer line up of top Bay Area talent to The New Parish. Highlighting the ancestral roots of Punjabi dance while pushing boundaries with contemporary influences, Non Stop Bhangra is a genre-busting elixir of North Indian Bhangra music and dance mixed with reggae, hip-hop and electronica. Featuring dance lessons and performances with Dholrhythms Dance Company and music by DJ Jimmy Love, the group has won legions of fans with its monthly events in San Francisco. With an ever-evolving collective of dancers, DJs, drummers, vocalists and musicians, Non Stop Bhangra is a non-stop party. Joining the NSB crew for this event is OM Records mix master J-Boogie along side DJ Sol Rising.

La Gente
La Gente is a Bay Area based international recording group led by singer-songwriter Rafael Bustamante Sarria. The group has created their own unique multilingual blend of Reggae, Cumbia, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Rock, and World Music. They perform a high energy dance party and have cultivated a large, loyal and diverse following. They have independently released three studio albums, numerous live recordings, two DVD's and are currently in production to release their fourth studio album collaborating with a variety of international recording artists.
La Gente was founded in 2002, since then They have performed numerous festivals, universities, radio stations, museums, art galleries and major venues all over the US. For example: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Austin, Portland and New York. La Gente has also performed internationally in Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua, England, Italy, France, and Spain. Their notoriety and showmanship had found them sharing the stage with other recognized recording artists, such as George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars, E-40, The Digital Underground, Hyro-Glyphics, Coolio, Digable Planets, Pato Banton, Lyrics Born, Rupa & The April Fishes, Meklit Hadero, Pete Escovedo, and The B-side Players.
